California has been a Democrat stronghold for a long time.
Everybody knows this. And high-ranking leaders like Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff, and Maxine Waters keep the state very liberal.
But a major shift could be right around the corner…
Typically, Democrats hold the edge in any new seat election in the state. And the latest numbers show Dems still have that edge.
However, that edge is definitely dwindling.
For the first time in a while, nine Democrat seats in California actually appear to be vulnerable.
The GOP is making a BIG push to take those seats back!
Via the San Francisco Chronicle:
Republicans took a strong first step in the primary election toward grabbing back at least some of the seven California congressional districts that Democrats flipped in 2018.…Republicans have so far combined for a majority of the votes in six of those seven districts. GOP candidates have solid leads in two of them.
Wow! Is California facing a big red wave?
It certainly appears possible.
The left’s vice-like grip on sunny California might be weakening, if these latest results are accurate. As a result, a definite change of policy and ideology is in the air.
As noted by the NOQ Report:
These are nine seats currently held by Democrats where Republicans have the upper hand based on analysis of Tuesday’s primary votes.…nine seats showed Republicans either within striking distance or outright beating Democrats.
Who could’ve predicted this?
Maybe the state’s homeless problem and other issues have finally backed up on the current controlling party. Maybe the citizens are clamoring for something different.
Or perhaps the recent impeachment attempt of the president, led by a few California politicians, didn’t go over well.
Whatever the reason, Democrats should be worrying. Apparently, they’re no longer dominating in California … and that’s huge news.
Let’s hope the red wave hits Cali hard in 2020!
